Disappointing After Sales Service From Payflex

Hi good day, I’d just like to share my disappointing / dissatisfactory service received from Payflex. I opted for their 3-month interest free repayment option with a recent purchase at Decofurn in late last year. The first two months presented no issues with the debit orders going off as requested, however, the 3rd and final payment this month (end January) was where I’d received the disappointing service. On the 21st Jan I received an email stating that I must ensure that I have sufficient funds in my bank account for the final debit order and they also gave me the option to update my banking details via an email link, which I did on the 21st Jan. This should have been sufficient notice period for them to debit the updated account and I even checked to see if the bank details were updated which it showed that it was on my end I emailed the support team (contact centre) on the same day to confirm that my banking details were successfully updated on their end to ensure the successful debit order on the 25th Jan, however I’ve still not received a response from them to date. I attempted making a manual payment on their platform, without success. On the 25th Jan, they informed me via email that they had not received the final payment due to insufficient funds in my account (the old account). I then called Decofurn on the same day and they advised that they’re unable to assist me and provided me with Payflex’s contact number to resolve with them. I then attempted contacting Payflex telephonically, but was unable to get through to them. I emailed Payflex on the 25th Jan and have still not received any feedback in this regard, not telephonically or via email. I even provided them with all details they asked for in an email to which I received an automated response. Later that day (25th January) I transferred the funds into the previous account in the hopes that they will debit my old account as per norm. I sent two follow-up emails yesterday informing them that I’m not going to be liable for a R125 late fee as I had done what was requested timeously (updated my banking details on the same day as receiving the email from Payflex) I then sent another email enquiring when they would debit the final payment as the funds have been in both the old account and new accounts since the 25th of Jan. However they debited my old account this morning and charged me R125 for the late payment for something that was not my fault. Honestly pathetic! I demand a refund of the R125 late payment fee as the late payment was of no fault of my own. In fact, I had gone out of my way to ensure that funds would be available for the collection of the final debit order payment. The level of after-sales service received from Payflex to date has been substandard to say the least due to the uncontactability of their Contact Centre and lack of response to enquiries sent via email. Please process my late fee refund soonest. Thank you

Hi Tyler

Sorry for the delay on this - We are extremely busy and our support team was not able to get to your ticket due to backlogs.

We appreciate you taking the time to write such a lengthy and articulate explanation.

The R125.00 was refunded back to your card and will appear in the next day or so.

Regards

The Payflex Team
