Shocking treatment from the owner, Ann Robinson

<p>In July, this year, I spent few days at Paws for Thought resort, in Ballito, with my grandson, my friend and her son and my dog. It was an enjoyable experience if it was not spoiled by the treatment received from the owner, Ann Robinson, in the last moment, just before our departure. I was shocked and disgusted with by the lack of respect and manners displayed by the owner. First of all my friend’s 10 years old son was shouted at when he tried to call our dog in the car. The second incident, few minutes after that, it was when I've approached her to settle the outstanding balance. I have been told that I need to pay an extra amount for the laundry done by the staff member, Patricia, which we have never requested for. When I have tried to explain the situation, the owner just made an ugly grimace on her face and arrogantly made the remark that I don't have to pay if I don't want to, after which she slammed the window on me and went inside her house. However, I have still paid half of the amount for laundry just because I have dignity and because the staff member done the work, although without our permission. Never in my whole life have i experienced such rudeness and disregard for a visitor, specifically from the owner of an establishment that deals with local and international clients. </p> <p>Experiences like this impacts the reputation of the proudly South African hospitality....</p>
