Paving Pro review

On 15 January 2025, I placed an order with Stevie Gal**** of Paving Pro for sandstone-coloured paving for my home's front and back patios. The pavers were manufactured by Piet Kluyts of Stone World and were delivered on 22 January. Stevie sent his workers to do the installation on 25th January but did not show up on site himself. I spent the whole day supervising the Paving Pro workers. The pavers were all different shades of sandstone from dark to light sandstone to grey coloured. Some pavers had different shades of sandstone on one block. I was told the colours would improve once they dried out, but this turned out not to be the case. No inspection of the work was carried out. I was called by Stevie to make payment as soon as the work was completed. On voicing my concern about the different colours of the pavers and the different shades of sandstone on individual pavers, I was told to wait a few weeks, the pavers will dry out and colour uniformity will improve. This turned out not to be the case. On 19th February Stevie, Piet and I met on site. Neither Paving Pro nor Stone World would take responsibility for the big colour differentiation. Piet said the uneven colours were because of residual grouting cement on the pavers. He suggested the pavers be scrubbed with sugar soap. The pavers were scrubbed with sugar soap (at my own cost) and left to dry for a few days. Before and after photos showed no discernable difference. Once again both parties refused to take any responsibility. I was sent a photo of a Stone World paver, with a voice note from Piet, saying this is how all his pavers look. This is not the case with the pavers delivered – not 1 paver looked the same as another, and cleaning pavers did not change anything. I suggested that to resolve this mess I be refunded the cost of the pavers. Receiving no response after 11 days I contacted Stevie again on 17 March, 2025. I then got a long patronizing message from Piet that all colour/batches are not the same, as stated in his pamphlet (which was never shown or discussed with me by Stevie or Piet) Furthermore, if I wanted uniform colour I should paint the pavers or should have gone to CTM! After my bad experience with Paving Pro and Stone World I would advise anybody thinking of paving to look at all other options ahead of Paving Pro/Stone World.
