Stay Away From Paul Smith Clothing, Sandton

In April 2023 I bought a pair of Paul Smith sneaker for R9000 at Paul Smith Clothing store in Sandton, Johannesburg. After wearing the sneakers a couple of time I realised that the leather is tearing between shoe laces holes. Initially I thought its because I was tying my sneakers tight. However few months down the line I realised that the problem was the factory fault because the left sneakers( the one with leather tearing) material was different from the right sneaker. The left sneaker was soft and the right sneaker was firm and hard(good quality leather) Also the stitching on the left was different from the right sneaker. I then called the store to inform them. To my surprise after telling them whats wrong with sneaker they told what kind of sneakers I'm referring to without me telling them. The salesperson told me to return the shoes and they will give me credit note. I informed him I'm staying outside Johannesburg and will only be able to come later. In December I visited the store to bring the sneaker to reimbursed OR be given credit note as promised. To my surprised I was told 6 months has lapsed and they cant help me. This dispite the fact that I made prior arrangement and despite the fact that the factory fault on the left sneaker is clearly evident. The Store Manager was very rude telling me I teared the shoes deliberately. I mean why should I do that.? I requested them to atleast give R3000 credit note and he refused and told me he can only give me a 30% discount on my next purchase. Mind you I spent in excess of R13000 when I bought those sneakers( PLUS 1 polo shirt & 1 t-shirt )

This is the worst experience ever. The store manager promised me to talk to his head office in London, to this day I haven't received any feedback from him NOR Paul Smith Clothing in London
