Selling a lie(milkshake) and unfair treatment.
Yesterday on a black friday 25/11/2024 my daughter and I were about to enter the new market entrance minding our own business when a young lady wearing black and white approached us and great us politely and invited us to her new restaurant (PAUL)to try their new menu cos the restaurant is new she advertised the place to say everything you eat there today is for free complimentary meal is for free cos their managers are waiting for inspectors She showed us the way When we got the we were received very nice and politely and chose our table outside. we sat and given the menu by the waiter Chris and he greeted us and told that the food were about to order today is free and we were happy...now this is the second person who told us that..it's confirmed.☺️He gave us menu's and asked us to order drinks in the meantime and told us we can't order alcohol cos they have no licence.we both order milkshakes last one's on the page which is written macaron something and I asked him is it made of macaroni or what we laughed and he explained along with my daughter that macaron something are cakes and they showed me at the back of the menu. He went to make an order when he comes back with the drinks Chris told us that we are going to pay for everything and we were surprised cos it was confirmed to us twice.😳 I said no we are not gonna pay cos we were told by you and the hostess right Chris started telling us that the manager just told him now if we don't pay he will have to pay for food himself I told him no it's not your fault that it was charged due to us entering the door..I tasted the milkshake it was water and pink colouring no icecream what so ever like who would give people garbage like really?😳even if we did not look the part to part to be in that restaurant but we were treated unfairly and I wanted to stand up for us but my daughter who is 17years old calmed me down...I need an apology from the hostess,Chris and the management for treating us so unfair without considering our feeling we were so embarrassed that we had to leave without causing a scene we were dressed in bucket hats and track pants and sneakers because we didn't have electricity in Dinwiddie yes maybe our dress code was not giving fancy restaurant but still the treatment was very wrong what if we were the mistery shoppers?unfairly treated and not that we couldn't afford to pay for the food there but how could they lie to us like that?first impression last...unhappy customer ☹️I'm thinking of going there tomorrow and dress up and remind them after I paid and tipped the waiter of what they did to us yesterday.im really not happy☹️ I worked at restaurant before but I never treated customers like second class citizens never!
