Very bad experience

I had to get blood tests done last week at PathX Laboratories inside the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology in Houghton. I requested a form with blood tests that needs to be done from my specialist’s receptionist prior to my appointment to have it done at Ampath Laboratories. I was told I have to get my blood tests done at PathX Laboratories (in the same building) otherwise I’ll have to pay in cash for requested blood tests as it will not be covered by their program, so I went to have it done there on the day of my appointment with the specialist.

There I had to deal with the most obnoxious, unpleasant woman in the reception area, that should MOST DEFINITELY NOT be allowed to work with patients. Her whole attitude and tone upset met and left a very bad impression on me about the place.

I have to mention the woman who took my blood samples was friendly and professional, though.

What really upset me is that I didn’t have a choice in service provider. Patients are “forced” to go there, unless of course you want to pay cash for your blood tests at a laboratory of your choice! This was overall an EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE and would most definitely not recommend them at all!
