Great service

<p>I've read the one negative review on Pat and whilst every story has two sides I really didn't know the Pat that post spoke of. My experience has been very different. I've been using Pat for several years which has seen him work on three of my boats and two jet skis repeatable. First off, Pat is a highly experienced and knowledgeable mechanic. So much so that boat shops all over use him when they get stuck. Secondly, he is always helpful. I have his cell number and he has told me to call him anytime (which I have done even on Sundays - you won't find many mechanics like that!). Thirdly, he is just a really good guy. I got into a spot of bother with a boat with major problems which was going to cost R40k. Pat cut his labour rate in half to save me cash and gave me back around R10k! How many mechanics do you know who would do that?</p> <p>I asked Pat about the complaint. His side of the story is that he helped a guy out who had been ********** by another mechanic on a Seadoo sportster (twin engine jet boat). I saw the boat when it was there and it was a mess. After fixing it Pat struggled to get hold of the guy and when he did the guy was always out the country. 4 months later the guy rocks up and asks to take the boat for a test ride. Pat says pay first then you can take it. The guy leaves and another 5 months go buy. Then the guy calls him up and offers to pay R25k. Pat agrees and the guy comes but by now both batteries are dead, Pat takes money from the R25k replaces the batteries, shows the guy the boat starts and off he goes. Anyway I wasn't there so who knows but like I said my experiences have been very different. I have no doubt that Pat won't take nonsense but treat him fairly and I believe you will get the same in return. Pat doesn't know I've posted this, he's not very social media savvy so I doubt he will ever even read it.</p>
