Pat Hinde Toyota’s ***** dealings

My vehicle was taken to Pat Hinde Toyota by a panel beater that had not put an air filter into my vehicle that led to engine problems. Toyota was the 3rd mechanics to give a mechanical report. I received several calls from Toyota saying they can’t see any fault in the vehicle, the vehicle is fine. I asked them to double check as I got stuck driving the vehicle. They double checked and said the vehicle is ok and the only problem is the flat battery. To my surprise they issued a report to the panel beater saying the vehicle wasn’t drivable and the fault is the injectors. I have tried to call them to explain why a sudden change on the report but they promise to call me back and never call.

I asked the receptionist why the vehicle was taken specifically to Toyota Boksburg from Midrand and they said they had a working relationship with them. This makes me suspect that the report was influenced by the panel beater as it is the same as the one from the other mechanic that the panel beater used.

This is completely unacceptable from a big brand like Toyota.
