Taking Money From A Pensioner!
It's been 6 months...we started asking for the receipts because we got tired of hearing how covid has put a hold on everything, something didn't seem right. We were told that the applications were submitted. We contacted home affairs ourselves to confirm because a few weeks of being told that 'you'll get copies of the receipts now'...and never receiving them made us anxious. We paid in advance for a service we didn't receive. Waited from February to August, only for us to call home affairs and be told that NO applications have been submitted? Where are our documents? More importantly...where is our money? I called to sort this out and was hung up on...because it's COVID...

03 Nov 2022, 12:54Update! To date we still have one document outstanding. After requesting another +-R4500 from my mother to apply for an unabridged marriage certificate which was part of the initial request and payment a few months ago, we have heard nothing. I ended up needing to go to Home Affairs for a separate matter and decided to stay and follow up on the application while I was there. Turns out that Shabana had not even processed an application at all! But she took money from a pensioner...no problem! I've messaged her since and requested that she pay back the money since I've app**** (though i may as well since I was there...Imagine...she charged R4500.00 for a R75 document and didn't even apply! She has ignored our messages! Would NOT Recommend...I'd much rather go to Home Affairs myself than deal with her ever again!
