Late, Bad attitude, Avoid!

If there was a zero star rating then that’s what I would have given this company. I feel too generous giving them one star!

I hired a soft serve machine for my daughter’s birthday party. The company confirmed in writing that the machine would be delivered by 10am on the day of the party. I paid promptly via EFT, as requested on the invoice (a very big mistake on my part).

On the day of the party I attempted to contact both Christiaan and Rudi from 7:30am to confirm delivery. Rudi’s phone was permanently on voicemail and Christiaan’s number rang without being answered. I left numerous voice and text messages with no reply.

10am came and went and so did 11am and 12pm. I contacted both business owners to no avail. The company arrived at my house after 12:30 once most of the children had left. The gentleman delivering the machine offered no apology for his tardiness and when questioned I was told that the machine was only being collected after 11am from the pervious customer, so the company knew that they would never be able to deliver it to me by 10am.

Miraculously the gentleman delivering was able to contact Rudi with no hassles. It was agreed that we could have the machine at 50% discount due to the lateness.

But to make matters worse, the machine was plugged in and didn’t work. We were then blamed for having problems with our electricity! It was quickly proven that there are no problems with our electricity. We sent the company away with no ice cream. This was such a disappointment to the last remaining kids.

The next agreement with Rudi was for a full refund. I heard nothing from the company the next day so tried contacting them. Needless to say my phone calls were ignored. I had to call off another number for my call to be answered. I managed to get ahold of Christiaan who told me that we wouldn’t get a refund because the machine worked when they plugged it in at their office. They didn’t seem to care that they were 2 1/2 hours late! I demanded a refund and left the conversation at that.

I never once received replies to voice or text messages and my husband had to call off a work land line to follow up so that his call would be answered.

Fortunately we fought enough and got our refund back but I would hate for others to have to go through all this hassle with such a useless **** of a company.

There’s nothing worse than a disappointed kiddie on their birthday party.

Avoid them at all costs!!!
