Faulty Shock just snapped.
Good day,
I bought a faulty rear shock for my car at Du Toit in Pretoria( Saturday 26 October 2019), the one which was faulty came from a box that was opened, the sales person pretended to test the shock, I am not mechanical as a result I did not see anything amiss.
It turns out the shock might have been returned due to faults and I was misled into thinking that the part was 100%. The shock snapped during fitmet, I returned it to the shop accompanied by the mechanic, I was told it will be exchanged from the warehouse no Monday.
Come Monday 28 October 2019 I was told the shock snapped because the mechanic used a wrong nut, and forced the nut to tighten. I have a strong filling that this company is selling faulty parts to unsuspecting clients, thus duping them and giving them the run around thereafter.
One needs to be cautious when dealing with Part Mall.
