Plastic/chemical taste and smell of yoghurt

A ticket was logged on 11 December 2017 regarding yoghurt I bought that had a strong plastic/chemical taste and smell (Ref: 17/12/202). I first emailed via the online form (on 09/12/17) on Parmalat's website and did not get response. I then phoned and received a follow up phone call stating that the product will be picked up and be sent for testing. The courier picked up the yoghurt on 14 December 2017.

On 17 January 2018 I phoned to find out whether there is any feedback (after another email was sent without response). Was the product received by the laboratory and were the tests done? The conversation with Jolene (if I recall her name correctly) started off on a good note. Jolene then asked me "how can we give feedback if there is no feedback to give?" Surely you can at least tell me that the lab received the product in good order? This is a poor excuse and unfortunatley cannot be used as an excuse to keep a client in the dark. Jolene then told me that I should stop phoning as Parmalat will provide me with feedback as soon as you have feedback. The manner and excuses used to inform me of the process were not handled professionally and I believe if Jolene had a different tone, my reaction would have been different too.

I am concerned that you never tested the product and that you don't have the product any more. Could you please confirm whether my assumptions are wrong? What is another concern is the fact that you think a voucher will solve this problem. To this date I have not received any feedback. Reading through these complaints I see that I'm not the only concerned customer and I wonder if you ever really test these products?

Reviewer Update
I have phoned back as asked on 7 March and was informed by the consultant (who was unable to help me at that stage) that the relevant consultant will contact me the next day (8 March). I am still awaiting that phone call. Your customer service is of great concern. I only want you to answer my questions as stated in the first comment: did you receive the product and was the product tested for contamination or not? Why is this issue not of any concern to you?
