About 6 weeks ago we purchased Parmalat 1 kg Pear yoghurt. We discovered that it had a very strong chemical taste and raised this with Parmalat. The yoghurt was picked up by a courier service and we were told that we would be kept updated about the progress, but this only happended after I raised this with your customer care staff. On Friday, 10 June I received a call from Parmalat and was advised that I would receive updates on the problem and receive a mobile voucher within 72 working hours, neither of which has happened. Stop stuffing me around and focus on getting things done rather than making empty promises. A bad experience has got even a lot worse. Please get your business sorted out! I am sick and tired chasing after you and believe that it has become a better option to no longer purchase your products in the future, as your service sucks. The public needs to be cautioned against your practices.

Thanks to Parmalat for responding. I received feedback from the test results and a voucher to compensate me for the goods I returned :). I however believe that the feedback was not objective and strongly slanted in the favour of Parmalat. They stated that my mine was the only complaint with that specific batch, but I also found out that exactly the same product and flavour was returned by other people at exactly the same time and in the same area!! Parmalat also confirmed that a chemical smell was detected on the product, which they claim was not found in the product at the plant, but may somehow got in there after the product left their factory. I find this hard to believe. If a product goes off due to insufficient refrigeration, it will not suddenly develop such a chemical smell. Who are we kidding??
