Melrose cheese wedges expire before the expiry date

I usually pop a melrose wedge into my son's lunch however today I decided to have one. Opening the foil wrapping I found an already spoiling wedge of cheese. It was quite disappointing as I wouldn't have expected such an incident from a reputable brand, which is why I usually but melrose ahead of other brands expecting quality worth giving to my child. However on this occasion I am glad mum didn't remember melrose as my child may have unsuspecting eaten this spoiling melrose wedge. As you can clearly see in the attached photo this occurred before the expiration date. On eating another wedge from the same package we did notice that the texture of the wedges were different before I discovered this spoilt wedge. Not creamy or spreadable rather hard. At first I thought maybe I was mistaken as to how the product tasted but have now realised after seeing this that there was something very wrong with this product.
