Beware - ********* Hotel
If you want your items protected, do not stay at this hotel! I was due to stay at the Raddison Park Inn Newlands on Saturday the 27th January. I checked in at the hotel and went to my bedroom. At first glance this hotel looks tired. The floors were dirty, the corridors had room service trays lying outside the rooms. I entered my room, unpacked some items and sat down at the desk as I wanted to catch-up with work. Realised the desk was broken, so went downstairs to reception to ask if I could move to a room with a desk. When I returned to my room I noticed I couldn't access my room and heard voices inside. I went back downstairs to confirm my room number and the front desk confirmed it is right. On return to my room I attempted to enter, but could not. The guest would not open the door. They eventually did, only for me to discover that they had been through my stuff and ****** money out my wallet and my suitcase. The hotel refused to search the guests or the room for my items. I then called the police who could also do little about the situation. It is unacceptable as the hotel should not have put guests in my room while I was still in the room. The lack of cooperation from their management is appalling. It has been three days and not even a single phone call. This hotel is shocking and a bad representation of the Raddison brand.
