I purchased a Groupon voucher for Park and Fly Africa for 5 days parking which I redeemed this weekend. I made a booking with them to collect my car from King Shaka International airport on Friday 29th April at 17h45 as we were flying to Cape Town and for them to return the car to the airport on Tuesday morning at 08h30. However on Sunday 1st May I received a call from Discovery Insure that the tracker had picked up that my car had been involved in an accident. One of Park and Fly Africa's employees had taken my car without my permission and used it for 4 hours, as the tracker report showed that it was driven from 11h15 to 15h15 when the accident occurred. Their explanation was that the vehicle was taken by mistake, I obviously do not believe this as their premises are 20 minutes away from the airport so the vehicle should only have been on the road for a maximum of an hour if this was true. To top it all off they refuse to hire a car for my use while my vehicle is being fixed so I have had to claim through my insurance so that I can get a hire car and subsequently lose my no claim bonus. A warning to everyone out there not to use this company.
