Delays with no notifications

I haven't written a review in years, but this company is so bad at what they do that I felt it was needed to find my old account to post.

Did a click & collect with Continental Linen under the impression that it would be read to collect in 3 days. Only after following up on day 5 was, I told that the "courier experienced a delay" and would only be delivering next week.

Why not inform the customer instead of having them follow up?
