Family Matters

Papillon is the only psychiatric facility I have been in which, is dedicated to family therapy and education. The social worker works closely with my family with regards to my progress here. Residents and families are taught about how the patient affects the entire system so that all role players dysfunctional coping styles are highlighted and worked on. Every time I have come out of treatment I have relapsed within a year because of having to face tough family issues and dynamics. I will always be grateful to the clinical team here who are dedicated to my recovery both in and post my stay at Papillon.
