Papachinos Silverlakes

I made a reservation a month in advance for 18 adults and 7 kids for my son’s baptism. I called a week in advance to confirm and strictly asked to be seated near the kids area. Upon arrival it was chaotic. As it was raining they had us sit upstairs very far from the kids play area even though there are tables inside next to the play area. I immediately got furious as my one demand was to sit near the kids area. They argued that it was raining and they now have to make provisions for everyone and change things up as they go. They advised that they tried calling me a few days before to tell me that it will be raining but I had no calls from them. So no1 they knew it was raining far in advance so why not make a plan far in advance to have us sit inside near the kids area! After us standing around for half an hour they eventually made a plan to sit us down where we should have been sitting of they took the initiative! Furthermore, I asked the waiter to slit the bill per couple and that I will not be paying for outstanding items I did not order. I asked him more than once and he said it is impossible. I told him it is his responsibility to make sure everyone pays and he will not come to me for outstanding bills. Upon ordering food the food took ages to arrive and upon paying… guess what… the waiter had R650 unaccounted for on the bill which I HAD TO PAY! I am so disgusted and will not go to Papachinos Silverlakes again.

I am not someone to moan unnecessarily or name and shame but this was a very special day and Papachinos really made it uncomfortable for everyone.
