On the 22 March 2023 I went to Papachinos Boksburg to book a table for 28 people for a 50th birthday. I spoke to a manager Paul who made it very clear they do not cater for more than 24 people per booking and he had no intention of joining tables together. He himself has zero authority to approve the booking apparently it is the owners who decide who may or may not have more than 24 people. Paul did however say he has never seen them approve more than 24 ever, but either the 5th or the 12th of March the owners booked a 40 seater for a house friend of theirs for a christening. So Paul not only is a blatant **** the owners of PAPACHINO’s decide when and how their IN-HOUSE company policy can and will be broken, let alone be implemented. No boards are up at the front stating no more than 24 people per booking will be allowed like every other business policy that is up, for instance no dogs allowed and we take no responsibility for loss or damage etc… So therefore I have the right to request for a party of whichever size I prefer due to the absence of the company policy being displayed. The reason I say this is because Paul had zero intention on acting with due diligence and professionalism in our interaction. He did not direct my attention to their company policy stating viable and unviable actions to be withheld by both customer and institution. In short both parties must adhere to the strict and supposedly concrete regulations of the Papachinos Franchise. As a customer viewing an institution bending their own rules for their OWN BENEFIT as they see fit I’m led to believe that the PAPACHINO’s franchise is being led with an irrational level of unprofessionalism and unfairness.
