Antivirus crashed my laptop after update!!!

I am using Panda Antivirus software and had the software update done yesterday or the day before and it crashed my laptop. What now? I have to pay thousands for someone to fix my laptop to retrieve all my info and have to buy windows and office all over again that alone costs R4500.
