Premium Care Worse than Normal Nappies

My son has been wearing Pampers nappies since he was born and it has been going great. Until I decided to try the Pampers Premium care. This is the more expensive nappy and supposed to be better value as well. However, since opening the new packet of Pampers Premium care, size 2, three of the nappies have torn while putting it on him. He also doesn't realy wet his cloths, but with the Premium care he wets it almost every time.
