Tenant privacy invaded by property estate agent

<p>Pam Golding Paarl advertised property for rental I contacted the agent Lindie Theron and explained to her I was desperate to move out where I was renting because the property is on the market and it is an inconvenience to give excess to prospective buyers to view. I moved in April 2016. Hardly 2 months after moving in I was called by another agent from same office Barbara Strydom who came to evaluate the property. After Barbara came to evaluate the property she called after 3 weeks or so and told me the property is on the market and want to bring prospective buyers . I called Lindie to find out why wasnt i told the property is on the market because I wouldnt have signed the lease agreement as I will be in the same position I left previous place for. Lindie told me she only knew about the property being on the market the same day as i did. How is it possible that Lindie who manages the rental of this property did not know about this? both agents work for Pam Golding Paarl. Lindie told me theres nothing she can do I must co-operate with Barbara and allow access to prospective buyers and I did even though I felt used and extremely unhappy and I explained how I felt to Lindie. I then sent an email to Barbara and Lindie asking how then I pay same rent amount as other tenants in this complex whilst I am being inconvenienced with my time and time is money and I know rental is lesser when property is for rental and on the market. Barbara responded with an email that she will not bother me again I must allow access in the last 3 months of my contract. I though this was over. 2 weeks later Barbara called my work place and asked my manager for my cell number and its about the flat Im renting when my manager told her she cannot give out my cellphone number as it is confindential and I will be back after lunch Barbara asked to be put through someone else who can give my cellphone number and refused to give her name. Is this behaviour proffessional? Pam Golding Paarl has all my information and their office and Lindie has contacted me on my cell. Barbara called my office following day ask to bring another buyer and promise to take the advert off the website after. I refused and asked why does her story change every time what happened to allowing access in the last 3 months. On 01/09/2016 Michelle Hill also from Pam Golding Paarl came knocking at my door only my children were at home at the time. She called my cell and said the flat has an offer and the buyer want to come and view. What gives Michelle the right to come knock at my door step without any prior arrangement? I had enought of these people who clearly do not respect tenants rights and take advantage of tenants. This tend to be the habit of the property agents and landlords here in Paarl as they know rental property is scares here so they treat tenants like nobodies as they know it will take one forever to find another property to rent. I want to put an end in this because renting in Paarl has become a nightmare. I have been paying rent for a place where it feels like a job from answering different agents calls to allowing access, no privacy and peace of mind at all. These property agents and landlords are only hungry to make money out of you as the tenants, take advantage, missuse you and have no interest in your rights as the tenant at all.</p>
