SEWRAGE PIPES COLLAPSED
We have been renting since April 2016 and pay our rent and sewerage water on time, however since May 2017 we suddenly had problems with our sewerage after calling out plumbers and having the drains cleared over and over, the sewerage backed up again and again, the problem escalated that no water is draining from any of the toilets or baths basins, the plumbing report shows clearly that it is a break in the sewerage line, yet Pam Golding refuses to send someone to rectify the issue the property that we pay almost R12000 for a month has become unhealthy and inhabitable, firstly they wanted us to pay for the damages and then kept us on hold for 3 months with excuses, we are now withholding our rent for the first time, as we have no other recourse, this is a legal matter, and there are not just us suffering due to sewerage coming back into the house but also our animal exposed to these unhealthy conditions. It has been email after email, excuses, insurance claims and the battle does not end. I have proof that it’s a collapsed sewer line. Yet again I was told I have to pay my rent. No normal person will accept these conditions and yet they are still keeping us on hold. We have reported it to department of health and sanitation and receive a letter stating the owner has to give permission, he still has not
