Rotten roof

<p>I purchased a house in George throught Pam Golding, I would like to warn prospective buyers to have the roof checked. The house was fine until the rains started then the leaks appreared, I had the roof checked and was told it has been patched and not properly maintained by the previous owner, the corrugated iron roof was rusted and a lot of the nails were missing. The only comment that the Pam Golding agent made was that the previous owner was honest. I beg to differ. I have now been left with a bill of R26000.00 to replace the roof, it was difficult to come by as I am a pensioner. So the saying buyer beware is apt in this case.</p>
