Pam golding

Went to see a house in Wellington to hire. Was told on a voice note that the owner approved our application and that the contract would be mailed to us that same day so that we could pay the deposit. A few hours later we were told sorry but they found other tenants to hire the place and that they get first option as they can move in on the 15th of april and we only the 1ste of May as we have to give notice at our current agents. We already gave notice at our current house as everything was approved and we need to give notice early. Now we have no house to move in and we have to be out of ours by the end of the month. I think the agent handled the situation very poorly and could have been more honest. Nowadays we dont have standards anymore everything is only revolving around money and how many they as agents can make instead of supplying us as tenants with a service. Why tell someone they have first option when they indeed dont. If they would only apologize and try and make up for their mistake but nothing. Im truly disgraced. Same on you pam golding.
