Disgraceful conduct by Pam golding agent
I rented an apartment from the amanzimtoti branch in December 2022.I was told to pay R23000 as upfront deposit and 1 months rental.i transfered the money and move in the first week of December.i paid my my rent before due date every month in Ludington the electricity bill which fluctuated from R800 up to R2500 .Only my wife and I live here and both of us are at work 5 days a week and the oxhorbitant electric bill ,was questioned,I was bluntly told by the agent that every thing is going .up,I must pay or my lights will be disconnected. Aboutv5 months ago the plumbing in the kitchen gave up,which led to the flat flooding and the cheap cupboards where damaged.Up intil now they have not repaired it.It looks like we living in a jondolo. It costs me R10500 a month without electricity ro live here.in February I placed a months notice and told the agent that she has to use my deposit for the month of March as I was tetrenched in December 2022 but still paid December,January and February rent.she told me that she would correspond with the owner and let him know what's happening. 3 days later I get a letter of demand from Pam Golding about my missed rental. When I called the agent, she rep**** that the owner wanted to go legal only after I told her I received a letter from the attorney. She ,I believe never speak to the owner as she was unaware that I received the letter of demand. They have mote than R12k of my my and she still charges me R100 for the lawyers letter.I have now consulted wither the rental tribunal and I'm willing to take this as further as I can legally.
