Disappointed

We moved into a unit about 11 months ago. First of we were not told beforehand that the unit was for sale and that we would be dealing with non-stop viewings etc. Secondly, the walls had not been repainted and was full of holes, nails etc. The carpet was badly stained in places including some clothes iron marks which is permanent. The carpets should have been replaced. The garden was in a state and some of the cupboard door hinges were badly rusted and pulling out of the wood. Thirdly. Twice we were unable to buy prepaid electricity for a week each time because the owner could not be bothered to pay her account on time. Lastly. At some point the satellite dish was removed while we were away. (It was replaced but still I feel that we should have been notified)

We have vacated the unit and tried to clean the walls and carpet as much as we could. We wanted to get a professional carpet cleaner but we were hassled over returning the keys and could not do so. Now understand that we told them about damage that is our responsibility and that we are obviously willing to pay for it. Also that they were notified about some repairs that needed to be done and never was. Anyhow, now we have received an email for paint quotes that they will be taking from the deposit. The Walls were NOT newly painted before we moved in. Now I don't know if this is the owner or the agency taking chances here but this is dishonest. This is not even the whole story.

P.s. Quotes aren't even actual quotes. Btw.
