Cancelation of contract is a dispute

I informed agent that I want to cancel my lease. They referred my cancelation to their attorney as it was a ''rental dispute''. Not sure why as I gave notice and my deposit included a cancelation fee. I was informed by the agent that the owners wnwt to refer it to the rental tribunal as they weren't happy for my reasons of cancelation being that the toilet and cupboard were dirty when I moved in. The agent whom did the inspection with me also saw the dirty cupboard and made a comment that the owners probably weren't aware of this as they got cleaners to clean the place. Not my fault the cleaners didn't clean properly and there were cocroaches. The agent set a viewing up to find someone in my place and sarcasticically looked on the floor for the cocroaches. I told her I clean every weekend with gic and wash the cupboards out with jik as I am living somewhere else. Perhaps after the proper cleaning with jik by myself the cocroaches have not come back? Anyways I didn't appreciate the rudeness and sarcasm as it's my choice to not live in a place I pay rent for every month.
