Agent sold our furniture and waiting for payment

Agent in Johannesburg offered to sell our furniture end of last year 2018, we are out of the country. She claims that no one in the company will help me to get my money as she did me a favour and that the agreement is between me and her but she told me that they always sell furniture for people and that she gives her agents the itemised list to sell the items.
