Appalling service from the chef

<p>I went to the Palace Hotel at the Durban beach front for lunch. I ordered Salmon salad with no onions, tomatoes and rocket leaves, but add a boiled egg and orange juice.So the waiter kindly took my order and just after punching it in for the kitchen to see, hell broke loose. A loud lady in the kitchen started shouting with that annoyed irritable voice , saying how can a person in their right mind order such!!! " Why would one alternate with a boiled egg, that person is wasting their time." She continued with this load voice in the kitchen. The other chefs were smiling and looking while she went on, shaking her head with anger. I then called a waiter to find out if I did or ordered something wrong as the lady was performing. The waiter said he is going to speak to her and sort things out. Well, she went louder and said " it's true, how can you alternate with a boiled egg, it's wasting their time and who in their right minds order such" The waiter came back and said sometimes the waiters and the chef's do attend training and at that time I was a bit taken that one would shout like that over a guests food and still continue even though being reprimanded. I asked to see the manager, while the waiter was looking for the manager, I just left the place because I just couldn't handle her.., she just couldn't StOP!!!!. I love the Palace Hotel, but today, I was so disappointed. Really, I wished for that salad..... Disappointed indeed.</p>
