Awesome service by Phakamisa Fleet Services.

My VW Caddy panelvan needed a gearbox repair and I was referred to a gentleman named Thys Du Plessis. We communicated and set a date of 19 Dec 2022 for me to bring the vehicle to his workshop. This date schedule surprised me as I expected to be accommodated only in the new year due to end-of-year shutdown being so close. My vehicle was delivered to the workshop on the agreed date and to my greater surprise, it was ready for collection on the 22nd Dec 2022. I was extremely confused re the speed of the repair service. I made payment as speedily as the repair was done and collected my vehicle, happy for the minimal downtime (this is my workhorse). After driving away and engaging 5th gear, I realised that 5th would not engage at all. I was forced to return to the workshop. All mechanics were stumped as they had tested the vehicle before I was informed to collect. At this point in time all workshops were in full shutdown so nothing could be done to fix the problem until businesses started up again for the new year. All staff apologised most profusely, which I accepted as all gears up to 4th still worked and I was still able to use the vehicle. I returned the vehicle to Phakamisa on the 3rd January 2023 and received it back on either Fri 6th Jan or Mon 9th Jan. The problem had been sorted and to date the vehicle operates without a problem. I needed to write this review because I believe that the level of service that I had received is rarely found in too many businesses. Yes, something unforeseen occurred that was beyond the control of Phakamisa Fleet Services but these things happen to the best of us. What impressed me was the speedy and professional manner in which it was dealt with. They arranged drop-off and collection when I had no means of transport to and from their workshop. I have no hesitation in recommending that people use this company for the services that they offer. Thys strikes me as a personable and accommodating professional who strives for satisfaction in his clientele. Well done Phakamisa Fleet Services!!!!
