A company that does not adhere to consumer rights

The hospital ordered a pressure mattress from PAC rental after payment by my family.it was delivered after payment received but was never used and returned the following day and now PAC are not prepared to credit us the payment or even 50 % of the cost.i can understand their clause that it is non refundable within 14 days but it was never even opened or used.
