WORST Book Repair “Company” Imaginable

If it were possible to do so, we would give this “company” zero stars.

The man we encountered was extraordinarily rude. He was clearly far too ***ist to be able to handle valid questions from a woman - he ignored my greeting him twice and looked only at my husband until I insisted he greet me as well.

He gave no useful information regarding the two valuable antique books we wanted to have repaired. We were the ones who had to come up with the repair options that could work. He had no suggestions, but responded to most of our points with “No, that is not possible.” He did, however, manage to ******* the front and back covers of the older book (a first edition from the 1940s).

It was fruitless to try getting information about anything specific, for example, the fonts available. “No, we have no font list. No, we have no cursive fonts. No, we don’t have this. No, we don’t have that.” When we asked why he spoke of “hundreds” of fonts when he then said “they all look like this sample here, just different sizes,” he accused us of being arrogant, gave us our books back and demanded that we leave.

This is outrageous, pathetic, despicable behaviour.

We will be sending our books overseas to be repaired by people who are not ***ist, not utterly unprofessional and not wholly incapable of sustaining a sensible, intelligent conversation on a subject in which they purport to be experts.

You have been warned. Approach this “company” at your peril.
