On the 5th of June, along the N4 ownsurance client Freightgistics truck driver bumped my vehicle from behind because he say he didn't see me. Accident report was reported to the police station, a claim was registered (SPM ***). I have submitted all relevant documents and a form which the truck company filled in to register the claim. Till today the claim has been left unattended because the ownsurance says they can't get hold of their client the truck to give a statement. When I call the truck driver he says he have submitted everything. They are not willing to process the claim. They email me that the claim has been sent to moderation however even after the two weeks period they still say they are waiting for required documents from their client. The mail said it was sent for moderation or the telephone follow ups the are waiting for documents

Mt client was involved in an accident caused by Ownsurance's (www.ownsurance.com, ***, Apple-Leaf Office Park, Suite 6 (First Floor) 235 Montana StreetMontana, Pretoria) client. My client almost lost his life due to Ubuntu Trans Logistics's Truck driver's negligence. We have provided all the required documents needed for an insurance claim to Ownsurance, and even more. Now they refuse to consider the claim, because their is no independent witness statement. (No one will voluntarily stop after sunset at an accident scene on the N1, since the traffic police were present as well). An independent witness statement is the only outstanding document, even after more information and documentation was provided that Outsurance might require. What are the accident report for then? How can I further challenge these guys to be realistic about the claim, and not refuse to consider it due to conflicting merits?? The truck driver stated on the scene that he didn't see my client, and then decided to change lanes, causing a huge accident on the N1 north on 11 Sept 2025, around 18:30. The truck Driver (Ubuntu Trans Logistics, Plot 163 van der Hoff Road, Pretoria West, ***) apologized profusely to my client, stating that he is sorry, did not see him, when he (truck driver: ST Moraka ID: ***) then later **** when he declared his accident report with the metro Police. (Off course he was doing this alone on the scene of the accident, as my client was attending to the towing-company loading the car. The truck driver stated my client (with a small car) turned into his lane, on his accident report. As if one would not see a truck. These truck drivers gets told to not acknowledge their faults as they get into big trouble. Yet the BIG Truck companies (Ubuntu Trans) continue to make our roads hazardous, and get away without compensating for a small car they damaged. All I want is for Ownsurance to register the claim, and provide professional reasonable fair service, by paying out a claim, caused by their client's driver. As my car is written off now. Luckily my client is alive...
