You can only be a ****** to people who don't see you coming

After an incident where the gate was closed on my car,I thought I would have a smooth resolution process by Outsurance. I was shocked to hear they wanted to pay me out(we know that's the last thing insurance companies like to do) in cash for my claim to have the vehicle fixed. I subsequently took their quote they were willing to pay me out on to the same panel beaters who laughed off the quoted total as ridiculous and impossible. First they come with 10 stories as to why that amount and why quotes differ but when you know an insurance company doesn't want you taking the same vehicle to the same panelbeaters for "them" to repair its the ***** ways coming out. Keep a look out for this mechanism because if you don't see these ****** coming you would be in for a bad one

Good day,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Danie our assessing manager contacted you to discuss the claim in detail. After the assessment was done it was identified that the vehicle was involved in a previous incident and the workmanship was not up to standard and needs to be redone. This is not related to your current claim with us. Danie explained the breakdown of the costs we are willing to cover.

Thanks, Kelvin

Previously I posted about a claim with Outsurance and I received a speedy and positive feedback from who I believe was Shannon. After he referred the matter to a different department that is where the problems started coming back. The person I dealt with tried every trick in the book to still below what is required(as per their service provider) to repair the vehicle for the *damaged part as per the claim*. He finally conceded that their might be an error in their evaluation as certain items were not even loaded on their quote which proved that their quote was wrong. He said he would consult with their panel beater and give feedback,I was surprised when a week went by with no feedback and went to query with their panel beater if they had spoken to the gentleman from Outsurance regarding my quote. He advised that he had spoken to the gentleman and told him that Outsurance quote is wrong as per the damage he has seen on the vehicle that was caused by the incident I am claiming for and that the subsequent quote which I provided is the correct one. I then attempted to get hold of the gentleman by sending numerous emails to which he did not respond to, I was then surprised to see Outsurance's response on my hellopeter account stating why the original stance was what it was on the matter-it clearly proved that the gentleman subsequently went with the old lie/story to his peers/managers instead of giving feedback as per their service provider-my assumptions were verified when I received a call from a junior consultant stating the same old story that he was advised to relay that story to me. When I asked him if he was given feedback from the service provider he advised no such information was given. So as it stands it seems they are trying to cover up a cover up. Can senior management if they are serious about this matter deal with this and show clients that they actually care!

And the person I am referring to after consulting this response from Outsurance is Danie. My query has nothing to do with previous workmanship. Kelvin I suggest you look at what was sent to you by myself and your panel beaters and you will see what I am talking about or alternatively speak to Shannon.
