I am insured with Outsurance for more than 7 years. I have never had issues or claims so that I scored a bonus of R4900 last April 2024 for being a good driver. On 30th June 2024 I had accident while driving to church. A big truck threw a fire extinguisher 🧯 in front of me,bounced once and slept underneath my car(Jetta 6)and blow it leaving the sample open and all engine oil out on road and all sensors red on dashboard. I managed to drive to safety 100 meters and stopped at side of the road. I immediately I called my insurer (OUTSURANCE) and they responded quickly sending a towtruck and took my car away and given Claim n°***. Since that Sunday 30th June until Tuesday 9th July 2024 my car was still in the yard in Bellville waiting to be allocated a panelbeater. On 10th July the car arrived at Island Auto (third party)to be fixed. They never even explained to them the issue on my car until on 16th July when I went to check if they have finished it only to find the car untouched as they didn't know why the car was there coz as panelbeater company they didn't see any body job on my car. I had to explain what the issue was and then they told me that they will send it to their mechanical workshop and would assess the damages and quote Outsurance. Up to end of July they were still waiting on Outsurance to approve the quote. They approved it around 3rd August 2024 and the workshop took their time to order the spares and fix them only to call me on 30th August 2024(exactly 2 months)to go pay excess R5350 and get my car. Upon arriving there at Island Auto in Paarden Island, got into my car and then start the car only to find out the engine management light ON and the Oil light sensor ON. I reported it the Island Auto office and they gave me one of their employee to take me to the mechanic Mr Danny's to fix "those lights". We went and Mr Danny's said that to "kill the lights "without fixing the issue is not good. The guy from Island Auto insisted to make the lights disappear only. Even when driving from Island Auto to Danny's the car was shaking when on neutral. It was Friday 30th August afternoon everyone rushing for weekend and they told me to go with the car and come back Monday if I had problems (which were there already). From Paarlden Island to my home Ottery already the engine management was again ON. I parked the car and waited for Monday. I reported to Outsurance and went to Island Auto only to be told that they had nothing to do with me that I must deal with my insurance, with ATTITUDE and RUDE way. I came back home and start ending calls with Outsurance. They promised to look at it and I had to wait on Tuesday 10th September 2024 for Outsurance to come take my car again. As a token of sorry they offered me a courtesy car for 8xDAYS. To note that I had to pay R2000 deposit out of my pocket for that courtesy car. I was hoping that the reason of 8 days is that they were hoping that my car would be fixed. On 17th September, Without shame Outsurance reminded me to return the courtesy car to AVIS as they only paid for 8 days. When I asked about my car they said that they don't have ETA. On 18th Sept around 11:00 Outsurance called me to tell me that my claim has changed into a warranty claim n°***. And then send me an sms that it was me Joseph Habinshuti who registered that claim. I called Outsurance insurance and told them that that is ***** and malicious act as my car was supposed to be fixed properly under the initial accident claim *** as stated in our policy agreement. Last Friday I went where they told me my car was at Mr Danny's the been told my Mr Danny's that my car is not a priority as he got the car from Island Auto not Outsurance and that he has other jobs before mine and that next week (this week )is a short week with Heritage day in it that he would look into my car after next week IF he finishes his other jobs. I called Outsurance and spoke to a certain Jansen of warranty department and asked me to give him until Monday(yesterday 23rd)to solve my problem. I had to call them around 11:30 only to be told that they are still investigating (what I don't know). From 30th June 2024 until to day I have no car and have been paying my premium (July,August and September)and Outsurance no one want to solve my problem. Please help me
