Wrong cover

To say I'm upset is an understatement. Earlier this year I called OUTsurance to try save a bit of money on my premium. The consultant asked me when trying to see where she can save money for me where my main concern for cover is? I said theft...... So, on Monday morning I wake up and realize our washing on the line is gone. After going to police station i call OUTsurance. Falicia does the entire questionnaire with me and tells me i have no theft cover. I have R310k cover for accident and loadshedding (can you just imagine) cover for 2 things like loadshedding and accident and NOT theft. I am beyond devastated! why does anyone take out cover? Its always for theft, not accidental. can you imagine my house being broken into and not having cover. please guys watch out this is so scary and now i don't have the money to replace my things. My 10 year old doesn't even have a full uniform now for school. No care attitude.

Hello Santana

Our claims manager confirmed the rejection with you via email now as well.
Your current cover excludes theft cover. This was opted by yourself when you called us after inception to change in order to reduce your premium.
Added to this, you don't qualify for our contents bonus benefit within the first year of cover.

The above were communicated with you and the recordings are being sent to you. We also provided you with an alternative email address, should you still dispute our decision.

We're sorry about the disappointment and financial loss you are incurring as a result.

Regards
The OUTsurance Team

Best regards,

Once again, hopeful the last!!!! I dont want R310k accident cover - I want theft cover!!!!!! ofcorse you will say anything not to pay out! ive accepted that, what are you doing to fix the problem? I keep asking time and time again to add the theft cover!!! what is so hard with this??? I can see why your ratings are so bad on the reviews.

No, your practice is *********! and you know it. Who in their right mind would take R310k cover for accidental when theft is rife??? The consultant did not explain correctly and if she did, she would never had miss understood me. all this back and forth and explaining over and over again - The consultant asked me what was most important to me when changing my policy and i stated clearly Theft!  yet here we are! What would have happened if my house was broken into, and we were cleaned out? This is a huge mistake and no ownership taken.... It's funny how the calls have been listened to however that is not taken into account with what i said? only that she told me what i was getting????? and i did not hear what she told me, and she did not hear what i told her, but i suffer the consequence at the end. I am the one that has to go and replace all these items just before Christmas. But i will be the one in the wrong not the consultant NOT taking into account that i specifically stated theft was my main priority yet continued to change the plan knowing full well i was not being covered for what i though was most important.
