Why no OEM windscreen??

My car is still under guarantee. I lodged a windscreen claim. Outsurance wanted to fit an aftermarket windscreen, thus nullifying the warrantee.

Each year the premium increases. The insurance company justification is that the price of parts increase as the car gets older. But in reality they try and use cheap aftermarket parts with the justification that they can use whatever supplier they choose.

BUT it is the responsibility of the insurance company to retherm the car to the same condition it was before the stone chip. And in this case it is with a OEM windscreen.

Outsurance why do you want to rip me off????

Hello Trevor

Thank you for bringing this unfortunate matter to our attention!

Our claims manager, Lerato contacted you with an apology. The incorrect windscreen was authorised. We now gave auhorisation for the OEM windscreen to be fitted.

William contacted you afterwards, and also discussed recourse, due to the frustration.

Regards
OUTsurance
