When it comes to claims they can do as they please to save money

Was in a minor incident at school with our vehicle. Other party accepted responsibility and vehicle is in process to be repaired via their insurance which is Outsurance. Outsurance advised that because the vehicle is 'out of warranty' they will have the vehicle repaired at random panel beater which isn't even SAMBRA approved and will be using non-genuine parts. After mentioning my concerns their reply is that because the vehicle is 'out of warranty' they can do as they please using any panel beater and fitting any part. If I am not happy I can claim from my insurer which will then claim from them. How is that for service. Their media and marketing campaigns will tell you how wonderful they are and how few of their claims gets sent to the Ombudsman but just look at their 'real world' rating here on HelloPeter, no where near what they claim from their campaigns. We will never insure with Outsurance based on this experience and I feel sorry for people who are insured with them if this is how they treat people. will advise anyone to stay well clear.
