What a disappointment ?
Outsurance has been a disappointment to deal with lately. I signed up with them more than a year ago and was quite confident with the cover, being comprehensive car insurance, household building and contents insurance, I then took an extra step to get out and about cover, for additional cover for myself and my wife. At the time, the consultant informed me that my unspecified out and about insurance will cover up to R 5300 with a R 750 excess. More than a year later, I try to claim from this policy and am told that they will only cover R 1500 of which R 750 will be used for the excess. When I questioned the consultant, regarding the cover, no feedback were received other than that they can drop my excess for future claims. Why is it then so high if it can be dropped? I honestly lost faith in outsurance and will be moving onto another provider.

From your description, it seemed we were not clear in our advice to you. We investigated the matter and our claims manager, Lwethu was since in contact with you. It was established the discussion our sales advisor had with you, was not explaining the the cover properly and we now registered your claim for you.
