Waste of time

Contacting Outsurance for a quote is a waste of time. You will pay more than at other insurance companies and they will find a reason not to pay you the R400 as advertised. I wasted at least half an hour getting a quote from them for my household contents, car, motorcycle, etc. Eventually the quote for my car alone was nearly double what I pay for everything altogether at my current insurer. To claim the R400 I was sent a link to a website that I had to access to answer a questionnaire. I then wasted another 30 minutes doing this. The next day I received an email from someone at Outsurance informing me that I won't be receiving the R400 as I had already taken part in the promotion. This was about 4 years ago when I had another car. At that time they couldn't beat or even come close to what I was paying elsewhere either but I guessed that it was because they didn't cater for the type of car I had. Then they also looked for a reason not to pay me the incentive amount. When I objected now to the refusal to pay me I was told to look closely as their adverti*****t contains a t's and c's apply clause.
