Was not informed of 6 months waiting period

I was insured with Outsurance but changed in April last year. I called a few months later informing the agent that i wanted to get R400 as i was insured by Outsurance and changed a few months ago and that they couldn't beat the premium at that time so i don't think that they will now. The agent did not tell me that i did not qualify for the promo due to a six month waiting period but went ahead with the quote(sneaky). I let that pass but called today to get a new quote as the promo is still being run. They could not beat the amount and i was told that i could not get the money as a quote was done previously within 6months. I spoke to Preshan explained that i called last year with the intention of get R400 as it was a couple of months that had past from me being with Outsurance and that the agent should have told me at that point that i do not qualify for the promo rather than try and get me into taking a quote at the at point. Preshan explained that agents are obligated to quote or they will get a warning if they didn't. I think that they should take the factors that they have placed into consideration firstly to see if a client qualifies as now i am told that i have to wait 6mth.
