Warning to anyone considering OUTsurance

I recently contacted OUTsurance simply to enquire about their insurance products and packages. I only wanted general information about their offerings.

Before they would discuss their products, I was asked to provide personal information, including my ID number, for what was described as a security check. In hindsight, I regret providing these details, as I do not believe such information was necessary for a basic product enquiry.

When asked whether my information could be shared, I explicitly declined. Despite this, I have since received repeated calls from OUTsurance. I contacted them again, requested that my information be removed from their systems, and was assured that a call block would be placed on my profile. However, the calls have continued.

My experience has left me concerned about how personal information is collected and used during the enquiry process. I would encourage prospective clients to carefully consider what personal information they provide when making initial enquiries and to ask exactly why that information is required before sharing it.

Remember, it is not only about the monthly premiums, it's about the after care that counts!!!!!
