Waiting almost a YEAR For Outsurance to fix my Solar geyser
Earlier this year, my geyser broke and as a result my floors and ceiling was damaged. I logged a claim and a company with the name Volschenk was dispatched to replace this geyser. I have a solar geyser system (Geyserwize), this system was also damaged in the process. Volschenk replaced the geyser with a normal Kwikot geyser and did nothing to repair the solar system. After a lot of calls and fights, the replaced the thermostat of the solar system in the geyser. however the solar control box never worked correctly and it was heated by the element the whole time. Then a month ago the geyser kept on tripping, I did some tests and found the element badly burned out and the Solar control unit was still damaged. I called Outsurance again, as I did not have hot water and do have small children, they dispatched emergency plumbers from Middelburg (I live in Secunda, 100 km away) They could only come out the next day, so I replaced the element myself. I again phoned Outsurance about the solar system not working. They said they will send someone who is an expert to check it and give us the way forward.... I am still waiting. I have specified the solar geyser for R10000 separately because it is a solar system, and yet it has not been replace by a solar system, just a normal geyser replacement. So why do I pay extra on my premium and go through all this trouble if I do not get the correct service or geyser. this is really becoming a headache now as electricity prices are so high hence the need and reason for my solar geyser.
We are so sorry about the delay in ensuring the solar system is in proper working condition!
Our claims advisor made contact with your wife yesterday, after trying to source a service provider who could assist. It was discussed that you will wait for the installer to re-open, unfortunately early January but also try and seek another service provider who might be available to assist.
Please know this is not an experience we wish for any client, an we again apologise for the unfortunate experience.
