Very poor. But had to add one star in order to write a review.
On 25 September, an OUTsurance-insured driver crashed into the back of my car while I was standing still in peak traffic at a red light. I did everything correctly — took photos, opened a case at the police station, and sent all the information to OUTsurance.
And then… OUTsurance declined my claim. Their reasoning? Someone sitting behind a screen decided the damage “must be from a previous accident,” based only on photos.
So:
They effectively accused me of lying — without any real investigation.
I repeatedly asked for an assessor to inspect both vehicles in person, side by side. OUTsurance refused.
What makes it worse is the impression that OUTsurance seems far more willing to spend money on glossy, high-budget marketing campaigns than on proper assessments. It really feels like they save money by declining valid claims, so they can keep funding those polished adverts.
So, well done OUTsurance:
For calling honest people dishonest without proper facts.
For refusing to send assessors out to third-party claimants.
For making decisions from behind a desk instead of doing a proper investigation.
And for appearing to prioritise marketing budgets over paying legitimate claims.
Extremely disappointed.
Sorry to hear about the incident. We hope no one was inured.
Every claim is dealt with on its own merits. We base our decision on case law and information at our disposal. Our legal manager, Lawrence, is reviewing the merits of the claim and will revert with feedback.
We do apologise for the disappointing outcome of your 3rd party claim.

The OUTsurance Team
