Using bullying assessors to get out of claims

I was a client with Outsurance for more than 3 years. Last year October they broke into my father in laws house and stole almost R70000 worth of equipment. When we claimed they sent out an assessor and I went with my father in law as his english isn't so good. The assessor told us first that he was underinsured (R200000 for contents). He also disputed the fact that my father in law owned 2 televisions and a digital camera. He told us that he was an ex policeman and was an expert at catching people out. The reason he didn't believe us was, because we didn't have slips and boxes for all the items. Also, we couldn't remember all the model nr's of each item. Seriously!!!!! He kept on accusing us of fabricating the items. Eventually I got so fed up that I asked him if we could remove one tv and the camera from the claim then. He said no, we can't, but that Outsurance was different than other companies and they know that people sometimes make mistakes. If we admitted in writing that we never owned a camera then he would talk to Outsurance and there would be no repercussions. The next day we were told that our claim had been rejected and we had been blacklisted for *****.
