Unsatisfactory Customer Experience
Been a loyal client for close to four years. I had my first claim on 15 April 2023, and that's when I got to experience service at OUTsurance for the first time. It took over two months to repair my vehicle, during which the 30-day AVIS rental expired because it's only valid for 30 days. I had to hire a vechicle from AVIS in my personal capacity for a period of two weeks, while trying to get the panel beater to provide me with a courtesy vehicle. I collected my vechile today only to find that my battery is dead. The panel beater boosted my battery, I drove home, parked the vehicle. Tried starting it a few hours later to go and the battery is completly dead. I'm now stuck and i have to wait for the matter to be escalated to an evaluator. No workaround to support me as the customer. So much for customer value. But I guess you only see this side of your insurer when it's time for you to cliam.
Further to our private reply, our assessing manager Everitt contacted you and assisted in replacing your car battery.
We are truly sorry for this and your claim delay.
While we try our best to finalise all claims in a timeous manner, certain delays are out of our control.
In your case, the delay was as a result of parts delays.
We appreciate your loyalty over the years and would like to thank you for your feedback which we use to improve our processes.
Regards,
The OUTsurance Team
