Unhappy regarding premium increase
So here i am today (22 Aug 2018) wanting to query my premium increase at Outsurance for my building insurance. So i phone Outsurance, who i think then puts me through to FNB (yes i know, but because the bond is at FNB they put me through to FNB). So now im speaking to this lady at FNB regarding my premium, and after she is waffling for some time why the premium has increased, i eventually get the chance to ask was a valuation of the house not done? To which she replies yes, then i ask what was the valuation amout? To which she says she doesnt know, i need to speak to the bank/branch, seriously, so who actually at Outsurance, FNB, and my FNB branch, actually deals with the bond, the payments, the debit orders, the insurance, the premium, and queries on all those? Because it seems one must make 1,000 calls to get answers at Outsurance and FNB. So anyway after she waffles further about why the premium increased, and inflation, and and and, i eventually just put the phone down in her ear. She later phones me back abd says she doesnt know what went wrong with the call, to which i reply i put the phone down in your ear. Now my issue here is besides the above is that no one has yet really dealt my query, nor has anyone really explained why the valuation (value) that was done years ago, has now jumped exponentially to a much higher amount. Albeit purchase price versus replacement value. So now i still dont have answers. Just dont get some customer complaint agent to phone me. I want to speak to some intelligent, accountable and responsible manager who can make decisions. So to wrap up im now an extremely dissatisfied customer of Outsurance and FNB.
Hello keith-richard-lambert
We are sorry about the frustrating service experience.
Our client care manager communicated with you via email, addressing the annual rerate concerns raised as well as insured value enquiries you had.
She also advised you can reduce the insured value of the building ensuring it is in line with the recommended value of your property as per FNB bond requirements.
We requested FNB to contact you regarding the determination of the replacement values and their complaints department to provide insight into their valuations upon which the replacement value was initially determined. We unfortunately don't have access to the valuations.
Regards
Dinky
