Unfair rejection vcl

Hello Peter. My name is Ndivhuwo Mathivhulula and I have been with outsuarance for more that 15 years. I have recently made a claim to them for lightning damage. To my surprise they have rejected my claim and I don't agree or understand their rational behind this.

My claim was rejected because I did not have a surge protector on my DB yet their schedule Endor*****t policy stipulate that: we recommend lighting and protection devices to avoid further lightning claims. Lightning and surge cover is conditional upon the installation or approval of an outsuarance approved lighting protection device for the power source. They also specify the companies one could get the devices from.

To my surprise I have comp**** on my side. All the appliances that are damaged were connected to a multiple surge protector plug. The guys who came to collect my damaged appliances, we're the same guys who were sent to come and take pictures of my DB. Further more the assessment report from their assessor master electronic Engineers had pictures that were not even from my house and it showed me that the report was a cut and paste. Their assessment report also confirms that some of my appliances were connected on surge protector plugs but because I did have a surge protector on the DB, my claim is rejected. I have dispute the report as well as the Endor*****t policy with them but I guess they have already decided. This is a robbing business and I am sure there many people like me who are being ripped day light by insurance we are paying every month without fail. Had all this been specified to me on the Endor*****t policy I don't think I would be unhappy with the insurance'services decision. It unfair.

Hello Peter please help.

Good day,

The matter was referred to the Ombudsman for short term insurance and the outcome was discussed in detail with you. The Ombudsman agreed with our decision.

Thank you,

Kelvin
